Driving down the cost of wireless for large organizations is an imperative. Wireless can easily be one of the biggest cost centers in a corporation or government and getting a handle on things and making good decisions should be much more fluid and wherever possible automated.
Wireless carriers are not the most helpful when it comes to providing guidance and advice on how to reduce the wireless spend. Primarily because their systems are not setup to identify cost savings and there is no business benefit to investments that save customers money while reducing revenue. That means every organization is on their own to find ways to be more efficient.
